How was your experience as a guest speaker?
I thought it was a great opportunity to share my knowledge with all of you. Plus, it was the perfect occasion to get to know everyone better. For instance, both during and after the presentation, there was a lot of interaction.
How should you prepare to perform as a guest speaker?
A good colleague of mine once said: “If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail”. I think that perfectly describes how you can best prepare yourself to perform as a guest speaker.
- Of course, you have to know your stuff. You need to know what you are going to say and how you are going to say it.
- Also, make sure you don’t try to give too many messages.
- Above all, make sure that you start your presentation full of energy. People need to see that you are eager to share things with them.
