Peter | Guest speaker | 4P square café
Last year, we had the pleasure of welcoming Peter op de Beeck as a guest speaker at one of our 4P square cafés. He enjoyed sharing his expertise on internal communication while getting to know everyone better. Read his testimonial here.
How was your experience as a guest speaker?
I thought it was a great opportunity to share my knowledge with all of you. Plus, it was the perfect occasion to get to know everyone better. For instance, both during and after the presentation, there was a lot of interaction.
How should you prepare to perform as a guest speaker?
A good colleague of mine once said: “If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail”. I think that perfectly describes how you can best prepare yourself to perform as a guest speaker.
- Of course, you have to know your stuff. You need to know what you are going to say and how you are going to say it.
- Also, make sure you don’t try to give too many messages.
- Above all, make sure that you start your presentation full of energy. People need to see that you are eager to share things with them.
Why should other people consider becoming a guest speaker?
Are you looking for an opportunity to share your knowledge, expertise and passion with people in a relaxed and safe atmosphere? And do you also want your 4P square colleagues to get to know your work better? Then the 4P square café is an excellent opportunity to do so. So sign up to become a guest speaker at such an occasion. I myself have enjoyed it very much.
4P square is always looking for interesting people, both internally and externally, who want to teach us something new in a cosy and laid-back environment. If you would like to become a 4P square guest speaker, be sure to give us a heads up.
