Hi, I’m Kelly and I have been a marketing consultant at 4P square as from January 2023. I recently completed my first project at Attentia – specialized in HR & Wellbeing – in Ghent and I absolutely loved it! I’ve operated there for 7 months as a digital marketeer and I’m thrilled to share my experience with you.
What did your project look like? What were your main responsibilities?
My role as digital marketeer consisted of being responsible for Attentia’s social media, website and e-mail marketing.
Working together with different business units (SMEs and GO/big enterprises), the Academy team, legal team, copywriters, translator and graphic designer, I made sure campaigns were set up correctly for a flawless launch on Attentia’s communication channels. Together with my colleague digital marketeer, I assured that the follow up and reporting were clearly and correctly summarized together with recommendations and optimizations for upcoming campaigns.
Working as a marketing consultant at Attentia was an interesting experience. I think it’s always constructive for the company to have a fresh pair of eyes looking at their way of working. Furthermore, as a marketing consultant, it is instructive to learn multiple workflows from different internal teams.
How was your experience working for Attentia? What difficulties have you encountered and how did you handle them?
I loved working for Attentia. The team was really nice to work with. When I encountered some difficulties, I knew I could count on the team and ask for advice. The marketing team – as well as the company itself – was undergoing some major modifications, so it was a challenging time to join the team. However, it went really well and I managed to be a part of the team really quickly. Attentia’s marketing team doesn’t give up and will go the extra mile! Would I work again for them if they’d ask me? Without any doubt! But for now, I’m ready and looking forward to a new project!
What are 3 key takeaways for you?
Don’t hesitate to suggest some optimizations when you come across things that can be improved. Who wouldn’t want to see improvements for their team or company, right?
Clear briefings are important and a timesaver!
Take the time for a brainstorm. It is insightful to discuss things with the team to come up with new solutions or ideas.
Has Kelly’s consultant story convinced you to become a consultant too?
