Tell us about you and what you like most about what you do.
Hi, I’m Emmanuel or Manu in short and I’m a marketing consultant at 4P square for almost 2 years now. The thing I love most about what I do, is the diversity of the tasks within the different projects. In fact, there is never a dull moment at my project.
What does your project entail and what are your main activities?
Currently, I’m working as Marketing Automation Coordinator for one of our main clients in the HR industry, Securex. Here, I’m responsible for all marketing automation efforts within one segment.
In your role, why is it important to use marketing automation in your marketingmix?
In my particular case, It is very hard to differentiate from competitors in the industry, in terms of level of service.
So, what were you able to do?
As a matter of fact, it’s my job to ensure a seamless customer experience using marketing automation. By doing so, the client can:
- Retain existing customers through automated customer journeys;
- and gain new customers through automated lead generation flows.
Describe your team and explain what you like most about being part of that team.
We are a team of 4, consisting of 2 marketing officers, one segment manager, and myself.
What I enjoyed the most is the trust within the team. In addition, I gained full confidence of the segment manager to lead the project. This makes my job a lot more enjoyable and motivating.
What are the 3 most important takeaways for you?
The three main things I learned during my projects are:

- Stakeholder management
- Flexibility is key
- Data quality is a real struggle
If you could start all over again, what would you do differently with what you have learnt by now?
To align more with my project stakeholders! To never assume that they are already up to speed. If I knew thies earlier, it could have saved me precious time.
